Constructed of bronzed magnetic steel, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, the reverse with three of four attachment prongs connecting to an original magnetic steel backplate with replacement wool liner, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by a documented but
