Germany, Luftwaffe. A Fallschirmjäger Badge, Type G, Refurbished Example by F.W. Assmann & Söhne Newly Listed 1916 by the Municipal Council(Fallschirmschtzenabzeichen). Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two replacement rivets securing the eagle in position, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened and rounded catch emanating from a circular plate, maker marked with the logo of F. W.
