Constructed of coppered bronze, the obverse with a central German East Africa Company coat of arms, topped by dates 1888 1889, circumscribed by an inscription of DEUTSCHE OSTAFRIKANISCHE GESELLSCHAFT (GERMAN EAST AFRICA COMPANY), the reverse with an inscription of FR PFLICHTTREUE UND TAPFERKEIT (FOR LOYALTY AND BRAVERY), the reverse maker marked WEIGAND, measuring 50 mm in diameter, in near
