A Trench Art Howitzer Carved by a German POW in Amherst Internment Camp consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac the insignia illustrating the cross(Grabenkunst Haubitze). An elaborate trench art howitzer, constructed of multiple pieces of lacquered dark brown wood with bone additions, consisting of a large gun affixed to a carriage with functional wheels and a functional elevator on one side, with a detachable barrel which slides down the carriage and locks in place with a metal stud to emulate the movements of firing, one side notably featuring a functional swivel lever constructed of bone, the
