It is deciduous and can get sparse in the Fall especially in colder climates. Recommended for erosion control on slopes, hillsides, and in canyons. This plant produces a pollen that can produce an allergic reaction. Avoid cutting back the plant if possible. Remove old seed heads by gently pulling. Plant with: Creosote Bush (Larrea tridentata), Sagebrush
