An Ashantee Medal, in silver, rim period engraved 1392 PTE W. RICHARDSON, 42ND. HIGHD. S 1873 4, worn on replacement ribbon with glue paper residue on the inner fold, light contact marks, edge bruise at 4 oclock, remains in very fine condition. Footnote: William Richardson served with the 42nd Royal Highlanders Regiment (The Black Watch).
