Ethereal Early 20th Century Watercolor of Lake Vanern, Sweden brass claw feet bookends I can't imagine this pieceI first wanted to describe this small watercolor as serene, but there are enough clouds in that sky to suggest some weather coming or going, and a bit of moodiness to those quiet purples and grays maybe ethereal is a better word, and certainly very lovely. What I know is that this came from a collection of watercolors mostly of water by a young woman of means that included views captured in Italian Lakes, French Cote d'Azur, Germany, Denmark, and
