This is a very nice WWII Pattern Royal Navy Officers Sword

It is however partly torn through around the securing stud on one end

This was done with a high level of expertise

Looking very much in form like a miniature naval cannon on its carriage, these were used to announce troop movements, the time of day, and other events.
