but I might guess what connects the somewhat mottly looking group as a whole is something else

I have to think its maker took great pleasure in its construction

Minor wear to the corners but overall very good condition

Late 19th c 1900 or so, tightly stuffed with raw cotton, knit cotton stockinette, with this simply but I think really wonderfully embroidered smiling face. A few holes here and there,
