This is a very nice British WWII Royal Navy Air Service or Fleet Air Arm Officer's Visor Cap, usually referred to as a "Peaked" cap in the U. K. This example was manufactured by Gibus of Paris during the war. It features the standard navy wool body, with some nice padding inside the crown to maintain the shape. The wool topped leather visor is heavily bullion wire embroidered with a single row of oak leaves around
