This particular phone was owned by GTE Ameritech, a Midwest provider for Regional Bell Operating Company (bought out and owned by SBC Communications from 1999 2006 and then AT&T from 2006 onwards.). It served the Royalton (Franklin County, southern Illinois) 618 area for an undisclosed period of time; likely up until the early 1980s when GTE became defunct. Due to
